Shaft Will Save Everyone of Us
Friday, November 01, 2002Oh my, I have not posted in so long that by now everyone is bored with me saving them probably. Anyway I have just not had the hate in me as of recent, more like the lathargy. I do have a few things to say though. Thanks to machines poppa I have a little money as of recent and may make a little more in the future. What I have been doing is driving all over the state taking pictures of buildings that he needs to use as comparisons to prove he knows what he is talking about. So I in the past 3 days I have put 1000 miles on my car driving as far west as la cross and as far east as manitowoc. In my travels I have discovered a few things I would like to share with all of you, do with the knowledge what you wish. 1. If you leave the city (why would you want to?) you will find that about a half hour out of any small town in central wisconsin you will find several 18 hole golf courses. In cornfields. In the middle of freakin nowhere. Why this is I have no idea. 2. Every small town, population 2000 or less, has usually one gas station. Nothing strange there. But what I do think is strange is that nearly all of them, and I mean like 98% of them are british petroleum of BP as they have on their signs. What does this mean? I don't know. Maybe they are secretly trying to take back the country by first buying up all of our gas stations. 3. Shit smells worse east of lake winnebago for some reason. I was actually taken aback by how much everything in the country smells like shit. It's not like I haven't encountered this before, I used to take a country road to high school everyday. But I have not been in the rural (RURAL, it's a funny word, say it slow, rural) areas of our state for quite some time, several years probably. So I had forgotton that once you leave the sweet sweet concrete jungle that everything smells like feces. So that's all. My beer is done and I must go get another. Tomorrow we will get to see the atom and the band, and all the chick runoff I can stand. Thus spake Shaft at 2:01 AM
